Beloved son, brother, uncle and friend Keith Ira Eckert died of a heart attack at his home in Placerville, California on March 6, 2010. Keith was born in 1955 in Walnut Creek, California to Anna Mary and Ira F. Eckert. He attended Ygnacio Valley Elementary School, Oak Grove Intermediate School and Ygnacio Valley High School as part of the graduating class of 1973.
Keith traveled and worked throughout California for many years. He settled down in Eldorado County where he lived for 27 years until he passed away.
Keith (pictured in the center) is survived by his father, Ira F. Eckert of Rancho Cordova, California, his sister Karen A. Buxton (pictured on the left) of Washington State, his older brothers Robert D. Eckert of Lemore, California, and Frank O. Eckert of Tucson, Arizona, nieces Kristen and Katie Reid-Eckert, Kelly (pictured on the right) and Kate Buxton, Denise and Denae Eckert, as well as his nephews Kip and Konnor Buxton.
Keith was a collector of stamps and typewriters. He enjoyed drawing and gardening, especially caring for roses. He will be missed by his family and many friends.
