BEVERLY JEAN JEANETTE VOGT On September 16, 2017, at the age of 74, Beverly (Bev) passed in her home to our heavenly father for a joyous reunion with loving husband of 42 years, Thomas (Tom) Russell Vogt, Sr. (deceased). Beverly had battled heart and kidney disease for many years and was diagnosed with Stage 4 Small Cell cancer in recent months. Beverly was born October 14, 1942, to Anthony and Joyce Sundstrom Jeanette. Born and raised in Duluth, Bev relocated in 1972 to Santa Clara County, California, with her husband and 4 children. Beverly and Tom semi-retired to Sacramento County, California in 1996. She was preceded in death by her father Anthony Jeanette; mother Joyce Sundstrom Young; stepfather Fred (Fritz) Young; beloved and only sister Diane Jeanette Linder McClellan (2002); and her husband, Thomas Russell Vogt, Sr. in 2002. Beverly (Bev) is survived by her four children, Penny (Larry) Wafford of Rescue, CA; Thomas Jr. (Kelly) Vogt of Sonora, CA; Lori Vogt Miles of Auburn, CA; and Shari (Kirt) Ballardo of Meadow Vista, CA. Grandchildren; John, Mitchell and Holly Wafford; Thomas III, Carlie, and Benjamin Vogt; Shani Ballardo Larson, and Ryan Ballardo, all residing in California along with great-grandchildren Sophia, Darla, Clara, and Daisy Mae Vogt. Sister-in-law Marilyn (Richard) Baker of Lakewood, CO; Lorrayne Vogt of Jamestown, ND. Nieces and nephews; Dean Linder, Dawn Linder Hautajarvi, Jon Linder, Jim Bjorklund, Kathy Bjorklund Hovey, Kerry Jo Bjorklund Huguelet, Cindy Vogt Berger, Barb Vogt Furlong, Patty Vogt Christianson, Christine Baker, Alan Baker, Brad Baker, and Denise Baker. Special life-long friends Margaret Lepak of Duluth and Helen Lusk of Cloquet. Beverly was a homemaker, wife and mother in her younger years, a teaching assistant with the Duluth Public School District, and a bartender for decades. Beverly loved bowling and played in leagues with her husband Tom, for decades while residing in Duluth. Bev, along with her husband Tom, was a devout Forty Niner fan. For decades they were season ticket holders and they enjoyed tailgating with friends and family at Candlestick Park . Bev also loved to play cribbage, cards, dice, domino’s, and loved arts and crafts as evidenced by her many beautiful Christmas, knitting and ceramic keepsakes. Anyone who knew her, knew she was deeply devoted to her cocker spaniel dogs. In the later years of her life, she loved to garden flowers and fell in love with cats, both becoming her favorite ways to spend her time. Beverly was known as a woman who didn’t follow the book, but rather wrote her own book. Also described as “fiesty”, “a character”, as she said what she wanted, no matter how it came out. But underneath it all, she was a sensitive woman, and will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
