Delores R. Willms Obituary (1933 - 2017)

On January 5th 2017 Delores Willms/Bircher 83, of Cameron Park, CA passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was born in Ellsworth, KS in 1933.Her late husband was Robert F. Willms, and Her late parents were Oliver Bircher and Janet Hudson of Kanopolis, KS. She also has a TWIN sister, Dorothy Morse who lives in Kansas City, Missouri. Delores has a late brother, Leo Bircher too. Delores is survived by 4 grown children, Mark, Cheryl, Jan, and Greg. 9 Grandchildren, Gina, Dianne, Lisa, Brittany, Jonathan, Ryan, Brendan, Carson and Alyssa. 1 great grandchild, Bella. Delores grew up in the small town of Kanapolis, KS until she went off to school and graduated from Fort Hays University, KS, with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing. She Married and moved to San Francisco CA, area in 1958 and ended up in Daly City, CA where she raised her children. She worked as a nurse at Mary's Help Hospital, Peninsula Hospital and Cetan Medical Center of Daly City. She was active in Eastern star and Jobs Daughters. She was a very energetic until she was diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis in her mid-40's. She was a very strong lady and kept going dealing with the Disease bravely without complaint for years. Delores was a TRUE believer in God and attended church regularly. She loved traveling, reading books, Word Puzzles, Dominoes and Bingo. She loved all her friends and family dearly. She will be truly missed by all her family. Services will be held at Green Valley Mortuary at 3004 Alexandria Dr. Rescue, CA 95672 at 10am on Sat, Jan 28th,2017. The services will also be STREAMED ONLINE at www.greenvalleymorturary.com. An after-party celebration will be held at the Willms residence at 3939 Hillsborough Rd, Cameron Park, CA,95682.
