Jamie Putman (Sonnie) Obituary (1935 - 2018)

Jamie Putman, aged 82, passed away June 30th, 2018 in Sacramento, California. Jamie was born Jimmie Bell Putman on July 9, 1935 In Havana, Arkansas to Lucinda and Robert Joel Putman. She was a twin, her twin sister, Johnny, died at birth. Jamie was the youngest of 5 children; Eunice Beatty, Peno Putman, Edith Daves and Laura Elmer, all of which have predeceased her. Jamie moved to California and lived the remainder of her life there. She started her family at a very young age and had six children; Brenda Ferguson, Roxanne Thomas, Lori Gabrielson, Tom Appleton, Cindy Lembke and Maria Mier. She had 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jamie worked very hard her entire career as a waitress. She was very outgoing, warm and friendly; making friends everywhere she went. It was very important to her to provide for her children, she worked tirelessly and at many times in her life as a single Mother. She loved her children and taught them all the value of a dollar, and to respect and love others. If you knew Jamie, you knew you were loved by her. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Green Valley Cemetery in Rescue, California.
