Jon Brian Downey

February 2, 1968 - January 14, 2022

Jon Brian Downey was born on February 2, 1968 in Palo Alto, California and passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022 in Cameron Park, surrounded by his family. Jon received his Bachelor’s Degree from Sacramento State University, and shortly afterward began to work for Intel, where he remained for 25 years until his passing. He married Jaimi Hietbrink, and raised four beautiful daughters. He subsequently earned a Master’s Degree while balancing a full work career as an Engineering Manager and continuing to be very active in his daughters’ extracurricular activities. He enjoyed a wide variety of winter and summer sports, including soccer, fishing, water and snow skiing, and had participated in several triathlon events. He was a lifelong Raiders fan, and a skilled fantasy football player. Those who knew Jon will remember his humor, love for nature, strong work ethic, and his everlasting love for his family. He is survived by his wife Jaimi and daughters Savannah, Skylar, Sammy, and Saige, his mother Marilyn, stepfather Allen, sisters Diane and Laura, brother Charles, and his many friends and extended family. His father David predeceased him.
