March 22, 1991 - July 17, 2020
On Friday, July 17th, 2020 our lives changed forever by losing my son, Joseph Andrew, at just 29 years old. Joseph Andrew’s death was sudden, unexpected and tragic as a healthy young man just setting out on a new path of life, with the true love he found with Kellie. We believe he had a fatal neurological event, a seizure that he never recovered from. J. Andrew died in our arms, with Kellie and me, two who loved him most and whom he loved most. My purest reason for living. There are no words to explain this loss. We are devastated. My deep faith will keep me going through the darkest hours, and you, my dear family and friends will bring lightness and love into my life. Joseph Andrew will always be my inner strength. My precious boy, was coming into his own as a young man. Joe proudly accomplished his Eagle Scout Rank, became a Paralegal through the UC Davis School of Law, and loved playing in the gaming community with his best friends. J. Andrew was my Rosemont Bichon everything - kennel manager, pooper scooper and nation-wide courier. Joe and Kellie were setting up their household, anticipating their move to Salem, Oregon. Joe was living loud and large to follow his dreams with a new job. Joe was a wonderful young man just setting out on a new pathway with the true love, and best friend he found with Kellie. We should joyfully be planning their wedding, and not his memorial. Martin, Kellie, and I would appreciate any comforting thoughts you can send to us. Any verses or prayers which bring you strength during difficult times, or suggestions for books or music to soothe our souls. Please know we will hang on to every word you send being surrounded with comfort.
