Kari Tamar Eide

October 1, 1966 - December 20, 2020

Kari Tamar Eide 10/1/66 – 12/20/20 Dear Family & Friends, As many of you are aware, we lost our beautiful Kari on December 20th due to a brief illness. Born and raised in Fresno, California, to Manny and Helen Feibelman, with older sister Dana, and Aunt Linda, Kari cut a path that I describe as a little bit country, a little bit rock and roll. Smart, mischievous (to her sister), charming, beautiful, and with a quick wit, she took on life to the fullest. An exceptional student and champion equestrian, she went on to attend Fresno State because she wanted to remain close to her Mom whom she loved so much. It was shortly after she graduated that we met. She had moved to the bay area with the goal of getting a job in sales with Xerox, her dream job. I, along with a friend, was at CB Hanigan’s in Los Gatos sitting at the end of the bar. Kari was in line for a drink at the other end. Our eyes met and she gave me that beautiful Kari smile. I actually looked behind me thinking she was smiling at someone else. She had her girlfriend deliver her Xerox business card to the bartender to deliver it to me. How lucky I felt that night that this absolutely beautiful girl would choose me. How lucky I have felt every day since we met that fortuitous night, to have her in my life. In ’99 we moved from the bay area to Serrano and built our dream home. Kari had decided to leave Xerox sales management so she could concentrate on raising our boys, Parker and Austin. In true Kari fashion, she not only did an exceptional job raising them, she somehow had time to manage the household, our finances, create an early iPhone app, publish a couple of “fitness” books, and various other small businesses centered around decorating and fashion. Most recently, she was brought on to The Esthetics Center (El Dorado Hills) to be Event Coordinator where she helped build their successful business. A truly exceptional woman. I am so blessed that she gave us all time in the end so family and close friends were able to surround her with love every day and say their goodbyes. She and I continued to share our traditional kiss and “I love you” before we dozed off to sleep each night. She demonstrated that Kari sweetness right up to the very end. Like her beautiful life, she passed peacefully, which was her final blessing. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation in Kari’s name to Snowline Hospice at snowlinehospice.org To Kari: First of all I want you to know how incredible your boys Austin and Parker have been. They have stood tall and surrounded me with love, comfort, and strength. You would be so proud. But they miss you so very much. I was with your little grandbaby Kolton last night. He is getting bigger, and he’s starting to talk. He says “Hi” and waves at everyone. So cute. I know you miss him. I talk to your sister, mother, John, and your aunt often. This has brought us all closer together. The love was always there, just hidden under a few layers that we needed to uncover. They love and miss you so much. Your friends have been so incredible providing us with love and support (and awesome meals). Thank you for creating all those friendships. I called the country club yesterday to see what our unused dining quarterly credit was just like you did. 26 cents. Thank you for that. Baby, I am trying to hold it together. I promise I will. But I miss you so much. I still have coffee and read the paper in bed each morning as we did. Beau keeps me company. He misses you. I walk around our beautiful house and see you everywhere. I make sure everything is in it’s place just like you did. I try and get out of the house every day and be with family and friends. I’m trying to get a walk in every day just like you did, but I think I’m falling a little short. I could never keep up with your fitness routine, but Austin is helping motivate me just like you did. It’s all very difficult Kari, but I know we’ll get through it. I know you would not want us to sit around and be sad. We're all trying very hard to lead by your example. Thank you for 30+ years of love, laughter, fun, and adventure. You have made all of our lives SO much better. The memories of you will last a lifetime. Your presence is everywhere in our little community. I am so honored to have been your partner in life. Thank you for enriching all of us! I know you are at peace. I know you're getting caught up with your Dad as you have a lot to talk about. I know you continue to watch over us and provide us with love and support. I look forward to joining you someday so we can continue with our goodnight kiss. I miss you. I love you! Keith
