Marilyn Jean Johnson

Marilyn Johnson, 77, of Placerville, peacefully passed away Feb. 22. Marilyn was born Sept. 11, 1944 to Edward and Roslyn Tolsdorf in Kahuku, Hawaii. She and her family moved to Oakland, Calif., when she was young and went on to graduate from St. Elizabeth High School in 1962. After high school, Marilyn worked at Pacific Telephone and Telegraph where she met her husband, Chuck Johnson. On Oct. 12, 1963 Marilyn and Chuck married and went on to have three children; Mark, Kim and Kevin. In 1979 the family moved to Placerville where she spent many years as a bank teller at El Dorado Savings Bank. After retiring, she enjoyed her time gardening, baking, shopping on QVC, visiting the beach and spending time with her grandchildren who she adored. Marilyn was predeceased by her mother Roslyn; father Edward and sister, Theresa. She is survived by her husband Chuck; children Mark Johnson (Debbie), Kim McHugh (Paul) and Kevin Johnson (Martha); siblings Joyce and Edward; grandchildren Krista, Lindsay, Trevor, Jamie, Megan and Kendall and six great-grandchildren.
