Nykolaus Michael Woodward Obituary (1987 - 2021)

"There are some who bring a light so great to the world that even after they have gone, the light remains." Nyk was a ray of sunshine from the day he was born, our miracle baby. He was born on September 28th, 1987 in Sacramento to his wonderful parents Mike & Debbie Woodward and his big sister, Nykole Woodward McLean. As a child, he was always determined, respectful, kind, and wise for his age. He loved to try new things, from boating to camping to soccer and golf. He loved enjoyed quarter midget racing, forever our number 14 racer. As a teen, he was involved in young life programs and eventually became a young life leader to guide other youth in the direction of Christ and light. Nyk loved music. He enjoyed introducing his family to new music, attending live shows, and jamming with friends at home. His energy lit up any room he entered. Nyk loved being an uncle to his nieces and nephews. To them, he was a superhero. He always went above and beyond- helping with carpool, zoom classrooms, and swim lessons. He loved adventures and would take his nieces and nephews to ride their quads on the trails. He adored the kids and they adored him. Nyk will always be remembered as the most compassionate son, brother, uncle and friend. His smile, his laughter, and his love will be missed. Memories and photos bring us peace during these times, we will always cherish our beloved sunshine and celebrate his life. We miss you Nyk, forever our number 14.
