Troy James Tanner Obituary (1961 - 2022)

Troy James Tanner, 60, died on May 4 in his home in Sacramento, California. He was born in Carmichael, California, the youngest child of Morlan Tanner and June Etcheto Tanner. He married Laurel Melville on December 20, 1986. Troy leaves behind his wife Laurel, his sons Niles (and wife Lindsay) and Ansel, and his grandson Caspian. He also leaves behind many loved nieces, nephews, in-laws, friends, colleagues, and honorary family. Troy was an improvisational cook, a devoted husband and father, and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Troy was a natural entrepreneur. He founded his event and lighting company, Avenue Illumination, to support his growing family. While Troy's business found success throughout the state of California and into Nevada, he always made time for the business community in Sacramento. Troy exercised his talents to produce truly spectacular and memorable events that brought joy to his community. Troy will be interred at the Green Valley Mortuary and Cemetery in Rescue, California.
