Urania Christy Tarbet Obituary (1931 - 2019)

Urania Christy Tarbet was born in Wheelwright, KY 12/19/1931 Passed 07/04/2019 in Rancho Cordova, CA Loving mother, grandmother, aunt, friend, mentor, teacher, writer, author, artist and inspiration to others. Urania had a love of art for most of her life. She acted on that love in 1975 and went to the Ortis Art Institute and that is when she discovered her passion for pastel. Urania brought pastel from the background to the foreground of fine art. Her art was exhibited around the world. She provided art workshops around the world and created her own pastel society IAPS, Urania became world renowned. It was with great pride Urania was also a Kentucky Colonel. Services will be held at the River City Christian Church 10933 Progress Court Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 on Saturday July 27, 2019 at 2:00 PM.
