Constance Haverty

Constance “Connie” Elaine Haverty passed away peacefully on May 4, 2026, surrounded by the family she loved deeply. She was 78 years old.

Connie was born on June 3, 1947, in Tokyo, Japan, where her parents were living following World War II. Her family later settled in Sacramento, California, where she grew up and eventually met the love of her life, John Haverty, during a romantic meeting at Folsom Lake. They married soon after, beginning a lifelong partnership filled with adventure, hard work, and devotion to family.

Over the years, Connie and John lived in New Jersey while John served in the U.S. Air Force before returning home to the Sacramento Valley, where they built both a successful construction business and a beautiful life together. They eventually created their beloved home in El Dorado Hills, affectionately known as “Serenity Ranch,” where countless memories were made with friends and family.

Connie is survived by her loving husband, John Haverty, and her two children, Hunter Haverty and Shannon Merlo.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Sacramento Zoo in Connie’s memory. Connie especially loved the giraffes.
