Katie S. Dobler December 7, 1981 - February 13, 2017 Katie was born on Travis AFB, CA December 7, 1981. The family then moved to Okinawa, Japan where they lived for 3 years before returning to California in 1986 at Beale AFB. In 1995, the family moved to Pollock Pines, then in 2000 she graduated from El Dorado High School. She started college at Sonoma State University where she spent 2 years, then transferred to UC Davis where she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree. Followed by law school at Hastings Law School in San Francisco. It was during her first year in law school that Katie was diagnosed with AML Leukemia. After a prolonged battle and a bone marrow transplant from her brother, she was cured. She returned to law school where she earned her law degree from UC Davis. Having worked for Sacramento and Sonoma County District Attorney's offices she then joined the El Dorado County District Attorney's office in 2011, where she employed her drive and passion for justice in defense of victims El Dorado County. Katie is survived by her father, Gary Dobler, sister Traci, and brother Travis, as well as aunt and uncle Merri and Greg Curl, and cousins Courtney Little and Heather Lanning. She is also survived by so many friends there isn't enough time or space to list them all. Katie had an absolute love for justice, unwavering patriotism, and wholehearted faith and support of the men and women in the military and law enforcement communities. Katie passed while doing what she loved to do - passionately fighting for justice as a prosecutor and a patriot. Katie was a diehard Raider fan and as a military brat she bled red, white and blue. She loved this country and all that it stands for.
