Larry Lee Jimenez

Our Dad Larry Lee Jimenez was born on July the 29th, 1937 in Mason City Iowa. After a battle with Neuroendocrine Carcinoma. He passed away peacefully on March the 14th 2012 at our home. He was raised in Chicago, Il. He was a California resident since 1959. He attended Olivete Nazarine University. He served with the US Army in Germany. After honorable discharge, Larry spent the majority of his career as both a Manager and later as a Department Director for the State of California Employment Development Department. Larry was an avid weight lifter and long time member at California Family Fitness in Folsom. He spent 3 to 4 hours almost daily there. He truly appreciated the many friends he made at the gym through the years. During his life Larry enjoyed traveling the world and visited many countries. He was well read and enjoyed golf, pottery and painting. Larry was a wonderful father(Pop),grandfather and friend. He taught us the value of hard work and an appreciation of the finer things in life. He had an incredible sense of humor. He always had a great joke to share and kept us all smiling. He regularly attended our Sunday family dinners. He is survived by his sister, Susan Jimenez, ex wife and good friend Pat Rogers, daughters Kimberly and Laurel,son in law Jack, granddaughter Sydney, step grandchildren D.J., Tim, Kelly and Kayla, nieces and nephews, Jeff, Lisa and Leah.
